People are inherently creative and there are obstacles to releasing that creative power.
Each of us wants to do outstanding work and we are looking for ways to live into that possibility. If we can't find a way, we will do what we have always done.
We need to embrace a “both and” approach – both structure and freedom, agency and accountability. We need the tension of polarities to fuel creative work.
My work focuses on nurturing the relational quality of people and using that capacity as the platform for creating responses to the challenges they face.
My approach arises from working as a director in theatre and as a designer for multi-stakeholder system change initiatives. In both arenas of work helping people connect to their inherent ability to create is the common thread.
When people begin to see change as an act of creation in which they can play a contributing role in collaboration with others, then magical things begin to happen.
